Go to the bose amp in the back and tap your line out converter to one of the wires that goes to your stock sub.

by any chance could you tell me which wire that would be?

do it easier, go to bestbuy and get your self a converter to hook up from high pass gain to low pass converter, you wont have to tap in to any wire. Have done it all the time, its a small box with 2 wires, you hook it up to a sub input, (as a input) than on the other side of that little box you will have 2 RCA outputs that will be going to your sub amp.
very simple very easy. i hope this was helpfull.

Don't you have to tap the converter into speaker wires?

= cryptic version of what mike said [>_<]

OP, as for specific wires, since you'll be back there splicing anyways, you're only going to grab the two speaker wires going to the sub.

I have to look for the amp wiring diagrams, but I would look for the two thickest wires in the harness that should be twisted with each other. Grab a multimeter and test the two wires and see if they give you around I believe ~3 ohm resistance. If you get resistance like that that means you have a lead to a speaker so just tap the wires from the line out converter to those. If you have trouble finding the stock sub wires at the amp you can do it at the speaker itself even as well if you have access to it.

thanks for the help but im still a lil lost. i have the little converter box thing that theyhad at bestbuy. i also have a wirediagram that i got off alldata. so can someone tell me which ones i should splice into? i have everything i need to set the system up but just dont know how to wire that converter up. oh and one more question what would be the best ground in the trunk?

What are you running? Is it a powered sub or separate amp with sub? Easiest way would be to forget the converter. Use a powered sub that accepts speaker level inputs, or an amp that accepts speaker level inputs. Tap into the speaker wires going to the speaker in the rear deck and you're done.

I think that amp accepts speaker level inputs, so as above, for simplicity, forget about converting to line level. Unplug the speaker wire going to the speaker in the rear deck and extend it to your amp using the speaker level inputs.

i wired up the system and when i turn the radio on the amp turns on but then code pops up CUR which means there is to much current and then shuts down. what could be causing to much current??
You'll have to tell us exactly how the system is wired up before anyone can help you.

i wired up the converter to the back of the bose amp cuz my budy told me to hook it up to the right and left rear speaker which on the diagram i have it is the rear woofers. and i have power wire from batter to the capacitor with an inline fuse within 12inches from the batter terminal and i have the power wire from the cap to amp. then the ground from the amp to the cap. then ground from the cap to a bolt in the trunk. i got the speaker wire going from the out for the subs on the amp to the sub box they are + to + and - to - and i have the rcas going from the converter to amp. and i have the remote wire spliced into on of the wires on the back of the bose amp that turns on and off with the hu. and i saw on different forum that the wire should be used as remote wire. o and i forgot that my buddy that told me to wire the converter did it before in his b5 a4

Tough to follow. Are you sure you have the LOC wired correctly? That may be where the problem lies.
