Just picked up my first Audi a few weeks ago, a CPO'd 2013 A4 P+ with S-line (canadian). I'm loving it so far but slowly the mod bug is hitting me and I so want to get a tune among other things but the other half of my brain is saying "no, don't f-up your warranty this quick!!" Haha.

New owner checking in! Moved up from a B6 A4 to my newly purchased 2009 B8 A4 S-Line. I got lucky, my B6 timing belt and accessory belt snapped (not so lucky yet in this short story) at about the same time the previous owner of this black s line manual B8 A4 traded in his car at a dealership in my state of MD. So I lost a car but was able to find exactly what I wanted in one week. I feel like that went pretty well considering my laundry list of requirements for a 5 year old car. Although I was originally looking for a white A4, black was my second choice considering the options.

First mod: remove Rieger axle back exhuast/valance, install new exhaust (APR, stassis, not sure yet) and an S4 quad rear valance or the DEVAL one.

Then on to bigger things:

shortshifter
RS4 front grill
ocarbon dash
Not sure if I'm going to tint this car, I have always been a big fan of tint but I over tinted my A4 and really like not having any right now.

That's it for now considering I have to remove crap first...

I believe it's a Fox axle back setup (tips say Rieger though). So from what I understand its basically a fake dual exhaust just put on for the looks. As for the rear valance, that's Rieger for sure.

Silver Spring sure is close by. You don't happen to have a VAG-com by any chance? I'd love to change some things up in exchange for some beer...

Hey guys, long time AZer here but new to the B8 platform. I finally sold my B5 after many happy years with it when I got a great deal on a clean, one owner 2010 A4 from a friend of mine. Overall I love the B8, it's spacious compared to the B5, has plenty of pickup (for now) and a really nice build quality inside and out. I just picked it up and need to bring it to Audi in the next few weeks to clear an ABS light.

2010 A4 2.0T Quattro, 6-Speed Tiptronic, Premium. Quartz Gray Metallic with black leather. 70k miles, good maintenance history and cosmetically it's a 9.5/10. It's mostly stock except the plasti-dipped black wheels, 35% tint, LED inside and smoked head and tail lights. I plan on retrofitting LED/Bixenon headlights (I hate the smoked halogens that are on there now) and eventually chipping it when the extended warranty expires in 2015. I also plan on debadging it when it gets warmer in the northeast...

That's a great looking color man !! I paid 1700 bucks but it was a hook up..usually it runs from 2500-3k .if ur in Los Angeles I might be able to get u a deal ..and it's 3M matte metallic blue.

I found my custom "A" badge that I bought from someone on here way back in 08 (maybe late 07 and never put it on my B7 or Avant). I happened to find it while looking for something else so I slapped it on (even though I'll prolly debadge like I did the others). Also I moved the quattro badge over. It always bothered me that the quattro was over under the T. I guess I got too used to looking at previous generation allroads with the 2.7T. If you notice the quattro badges were under the 2.7. Anyhoo, we'll see how long these badges stay on. Can't go crazy modding anymore - but will get spacers for the rear, APR ecu, and would love an RS4 type honeycomb grill.

Recently picked up my third A4 and have been a lurker on the forum for some time. Finally time to start contributing. I went to dealership end of February with plans to order a car to coincide with my lease end in June. They actually were able to locate a manual in gray with sport and black optics, so I picked it up end of month. I really wanted the S line interior mainly for dark headliner and steering wheel, but ended up with P+ and am very happy overall.

I had the windows tinted 50% with 3M color stable all the way round. I had Xpel Ultimate installed on the front end with full hood and a few custom pieces added to the side blades and rear rocker/door area. The installation was done by Automobilia in West Haven. Also had them debadge. Night and day difference with the not so great install on my last car done by another shop that will not be named. Highly recommend these guys. I also had them treat the wheels, as they are very hard to keep clean and free from road tar.

I will probably be going to XLR8 this summer for an APR tune. Long term I would like to do a full APR exhaust and intake. I will also be changing out the grille for and RS4 grille at some point soon.

Bringing the car in end of the week for vibration in the seat and steering wheel. My last A4 had the tires replaced as they were not within spec. Based on this and what I have read, I am not hopeful the new wheels just need a balance. I am also having trouble with the steering tracking at highway speeds and the pulling issue.

I experience the car pulling if I hit the slightest imbalance on the road... It'd feels like the car has a mind of its own.. Is this normal in the B8, because I had no such problem in my B4?

The pulling issue seems to have gone away, but if you search the forum you will see that others are experiencing it. My 2011 B8 did not have these issues.

I just had my wheels roadforce balanced and the vibration is gone. I have not yet done enough highway driving to see if the tracking issue is fixed.

Hey guys i picked up my B8 earlier this week, few weeks ago my b6 was rear ended and I figured why not go all in and get what I really want........ an S4 LOL[:D]. After I came to realization I cant afford it the A4 will do just fine [drive].

The dealer should be able to debadge it for you. One of my friends just bought a CLA and had his dealer do that, it was free and apparently they didn't fight him about it or seem unwilling.

I did the debadging myself on my car, it was very easy, all you ll need is a heat gun, goo gone if necessary and fish line, but try the dealer if its free then go for it

Too be honest the only thing I've done to my last 2 leases from Audi have been tints. I did 5% on both my B7 A4 and B8 A5. I had them removed from the A5 after several tickets... one time the cop wrote me 1 ticket for each window. I couldn't deal with the hassle anymore. I did have the 19" y-spoke upgrade wheels on the A5 which I was very content with. The wheels on this car are a little mild for me. If I find a deal on some RS reps I'll most likely jump on those. Wheels, like the grille are easy on/easy off and could be sold at any point. I get what you're saying though.

one time the cop wrote me 1 ticket for each window.

I got a ticket like that once for bald tires. Took the ticket to the police station and asked to speak with the chief of police since I had "an issue" with one of his officers. Told the chief that my family attorney suggested I speak with him about the ticket since "it appears his officer is lacking proper training". I then explained I was informed the law regarding bald tires cover all tires which are bald as one offense and not as individual offenses. The chief looked at the ticket, made a note in his book, then ripped up the ticket, said thank you and told me not to worry about the ticket but that I need to get new tires if I haven't already. I told him I had already replaced the tires and thanked him.

I fought it and eventually it was dismissed (took the tints off). The kicker is I had to pay a $30 per ticket dismissal fee. $150 and a morning of work missed to be found not guilty. The county said once the summons was written and submitted that's the only thing they can do.

It sucks because I don't have auto dimming mirrors and I get migrains from these HID head lights especially in SUVs when they're behind me. It's almost dangerous. The tints were the only thing that helped.

Hi guys, Just bought a 2011 A4 Premium Plus... i'm not very well versed in Audis so.... that's why i'm here lol. I did quite a bit of research and couldn't find a Prestige, and i ran out of time to buy so i had to get a PP. While I do miss some things that i read about regarding differences in a Presige or an S-Line package, I'm pretty happy with the car overall. I just have a ton of questions so you'll see me lurking about lol.

The previous owners were terrible to this car.... there was so much caked up dirt everywhere. they had a dog too..... navigation is scratched up and part of the drivers door panel and some other things. so most of my questions will be about restoring it to pristine condition.

New to Audizine and a new 14' Allroad owner here, and I already hate you guys! I didn't want to lower my car, until I started lurking in here!!

This is my first Audi after having owned a couple boring cars in the Chevy Malibu and Subaru XV in the past, so this is a big step up for me.

The first mods I'm considering are 19 x 8.5 rims, because the stock 18" rims are ugggggllyy. I was thinking of just plastidipping them, but they're too small. Does anyone know the width of the stock 18" allroad wheels, are they 8 or 8.5?

I wish I could afford to run the 2.0T gas engine here!

I used to live in Chicago burbs and I had an A6 2.8 quatro, that was a great car and averaging 25mpg (US gal) at US prices was a cheap car to run.
The A4 TDI on average gets about 53mpg UK which is about 45mpg US gal. Factor in cost/gal and the old A6 was cheaper to run, but until I get myself another assignment in US, I got alive with the diesel.

engine rebuilt at 77,500 for oil consumption
mods are K&N intake and APR stage 1 tune. also literally but an s4 steering wheel about 3 hours ago! I also have a whispbar roof rack installed.

I live in Colorado right now but am moving back to Oklahoma in a few weeks. Once I get there im going to go catless downpipe and upgrade to the APR stage 2 tune.

Coming soon: RS4 grille and fog grilles in gloss black. And a new color change sometime in the summer, thinking a satin metallic black.

^^ i'd get coilovers first, because if you get bigger wheels but you arent lowered it will look akward and make it look even higher, but if you're lowered with the stock wheels you have now it will still look decent until you upgrade wheels. but yeah personally id get the suspension upgraded first, i did that and had mine lowered on the same wheels for awhile until i got my 19s later on.

Hey bumpbmxsbc......the apr carbon intake is not worth the $450 price tag. Mine looks more like a hydro dipped piece of fiberglass. Spend half and do k&n or afe filter.

Hi guys,

Here's a new member from Europe, The Netherlands to be precise.
I've been looking around for a while and as there's a lot of experience here I decided to officially sign up.

I'm driving a 1.8T Avant Pro Line 2009 in Deep Sea Blue Pearl, almost in standard condition. I used to drive another German car before (Opel/Vauxhall Vectra GTS), running on 20inch and sport suspension. Was looking for more luxury and comfort, so decided to go for Audi. As it is running on non-S line suspension, I immedately started to miss the firm ride and superieur control. So now I'm looking for some mods to finally improve the ride and tune the car a little. It's my daily drive, so although I would love to I cannot lower the car too much. They love speed bumps in The Netherlands as well, so will probably go for a minor 1.2-1.5 drop. I so hate the monstertruck look!

Changes and plans in random order:
- remap the ECU (Stage 1: 160hp > 220hp)
- oem Audi exhaust tips installed
- already replaced the stock 17" for black 18" BBS reps (Monaco Mirabeau, will be painted black entirely). Love 20", but the ride is too hard.
- already using 25mm rear spacers and looking at replacing the 10mm front spacers (15-20mm)
- replace stock suspension, most likely with Eibach or H&R. KW did not satisfy me on previous cars (not comfy).
- Xenon/LED aftermarket headlights (Depo) are on their way. Too much hassle to retrofit OEM lights (Pilot 6000k Xenon currently in halogen headlights, looks aweful)
- replace the fog light surrounds
- perhaps replace the full leather seats with S-line sport seats
- black out some trims and colorcode the calipers

Hello All , I am the Proud owner of a a CPO B8 2012 Moonlight Blue A4 Quattro Premium Plus with 33k. I came from a 2002 Trailblazer LTZ which was killing us in Gas Mileage or lack there of. 14 MPG . When I started the Hunt for a Good Used Vehicle with great gas Mileage The Audi was a tough sell to the wife. She Loves Audi's of course, The prices however are another story. I did a lot of reading on the b7 issues and the more I read I would incrementally move up in model years to try and by-pass any problems. I phoned a Friend of a friend that actually is a Senior Tech at an Audi Dealer Near My Home and he was happy to answer the barrage of questions I had. He sort of put me at ease and gave me the black and White Truth on the Oil Consumption problem.


My New old Friend then informed me he owns 5 Audi's and loves them(I would too if I knew how to completely repair any issue) . So after narrowly missing out on a 2009 Premium NON-CPO for $14000.00 with 76Kish miles, I turned my focus to the Senior Techs Dealership Site and found Plenty of CPO 2012 Models. The Price point of course was Higher but the Level of Vehicle and Technology your getting is unsurpassed in my opinion. The Tech recommended a good salesman I should deal with and he along with the used inventory manager were very helpful. The Unit I viewed Online was at another LOT off site So the Brought 2 other vehicles just SO I could See the Interior as well as the LED Plus Model. I returned a few days later and Test Drove My current Car and I loved it. The Ride was So Compliant and everything felt worthy like any German Sedan Should.


So it was MINE@@! I came back to take Delivery on 05/04/15 which was a Monday. I would end it here and Say its Been all Rosy but we all know Life does not work out this way. OK So I drive the Car one town over to pick up my Son from the babysitter/Friends and let them ogle the car a bit and then Home. Car was fine the next day and I started my 72 mile round trip commute near JFK Air Port. Driving to Work I noticed my Gas mileage seemed to be dropping rather rapidly from almost full to 1/2 by the time I got to work. I started to play the argument chess game in my head because surely the wife would Attack on the gas Issue if this was actual correct MPG. So What the Car is Beautiful I'll Deal With her , UNTIL.... To Be Continued ....


Continued From Main Introduction Thread.

So Anyway Driving home I Come to the Base of a Steep Hill and apply about 1/2 Throttle, after a bit of Lag She throws a CEL! [eek]. I immediately Call my friend the tech From Audi. He's glad to hear I picked up the Car and I preceded to tell him my plight. He reassured me they would take care of any issue and a Loaner would be supplied at no charge , just make an appointment and write down any and all issues you want to be taken care of. [cool] I already had a Bluetooth OBDII dongle along with my Torque APK which I used quite frequently with my former Trailblazer. I pulled the Code when I got home and it was a PO299" Low Boost Pressure " [headbang]. I took a Screen shot and sent it to my friend from Audi and he confirmed I should drop it off.


After picking up a 2015 Q5 as my loaner (Nice RIDE![drool]) I was happy the problem would be taken care of but still a little concerned I had made the wrong choice in my purchase. Turns out the turbo boost pressure was below spec and needed to be replaced. I had written a small novel , Much like this post and gave it to the Service manager. I had a couple of other small issues like an Ipod AMI cable which was frayed and my passenger side mirror directional lens was cracked on the very edge. My Tech friend said the "Updated Turbo Assembly" was in stock, but the mirror had to be replaced as a complete assembly. This meant I would be driving the Q5 another 4-5 days as the mirror needed to sent out for painting.



I got the car back and had it for one day before I brought it back again. The Oil Line which feeds the turbo had a defective Washer Seal and it was leaking oil. BTW the 2nd loaner was a Prestige 2015 A4 and very nice. To date now Ive had no further problems, The car fax that followed this cars life of 33K was very detailed. I got the car with Brand New Front Rotors/Pads Rear Pads, The CPO Program seems very thorough and being in the business (HD Truck Dealer), SHIT HAPPENS. Everything was Taken care of at No CHARGE!



I love the Car and It rides incredible. I've been trolling here quite frequently researching MODS. I will be ordering a Complete Stainless Steel Turbo back dual System from UK Soon. Its Made by a Company Called TOP GEAR UK Tuning, If anyone has any experience with this system your feedback would be Welcomed [;)]. For the Price of $1350.00 I think its a great Deal.

New here and new to Audi picked up an 2011 A4. I did a lot of research. I mean a lot with a lot of thought I found a one owner with 46,788 miles in it silver bought at the dealer new all service records. Maintained beautifully. I did see at 31000 miles the short block was replaced. To my surprise that was relaxing info to know that it was tended to. My question is what do you all think of an 2011 with 46000 miles and a new short block with less than 16000 miles. I am interested to learn but will continue to baby the car and its up keep. I've already ordered apr exhaust, rs4 grill intercooler gfb+ diverter apr carbino intake ,Phillips d3s bulbs and led interior lights,h&r sway bars , looking for wheels/ coil overs now and fix this horrible stock stereo. get a stg 2 tune or go ko4? It's already faster then my b6 3.0 avant
