View Full Version : No More Loaner Vehicles From Dealerships?!

I just got off the phone with Commonwealth to get my crossmember recall done and get a new battery.

I know from experience that I have to request a decent loaner car, since they never have the parts in stock and almost everything takes at least a day.

Come to find out they are now charging $30/day for loaners! Loaner vehicles were a HUGE selling point when I bought my car, as I was selling real estate I couldn't be showing property in a Geo. Everyone else in my office had BMW's, Benz's, Lexi and they all got COMPERABLE loaner vehicles whenever their cars got serviced. I made sure that Commonwealth did the same thing, they said yes, I signed on the dotted line, the next day I had to give my car back for a broken seat and some other stuff and they stuck me with a beat ass enterprise rental malibu.

After getting quite pissed with one of the service writers I finally got to the service manager, turns out we know some of the same people through racing and he took care of the situation, but it shouldn't have to go that far just to get a decent vehicle to drive when it was promised to make the sale.

And now I'm going to have to have someone follow me and pick me up, wait hours on end at the dealership, or pay $30/day for some piece of sh!t rental

The woman on the phone said that Rusnak started it, Commonwealth followed and I guess Mission Viejo is now doing it too. WEAK

I've got a year til my lease is up, and Audi's now all but cut itself out of the picture. Inflated pricing, and now an even WEAKER service policy.

Anyone know of Audi dealerships in SoCal that take care of their clients??

ok, venting over

You just vented for me and i thank you greatly. I had to drop off my car at the dealership in Carlsbad (SD) and was stuck with a loaner for the weekend. Ironically, i had a date with an extremely gorgeous girl that weekend and i was extremely stoked about showing her my new car. I go pick her up at her house in a maroon 2000 honda accord, and she said, i thought you got a new car, so i had to explain the situation. She then looked at me weird and told me how her parents BMW and MBZ get equal loaners. Anyway, we dated for a month and she's a little crazy and a typical dumb blonde.

I got the same treatment at Beverly Hills Audi. When I bought my TT they said I would always get and Audi when I dropped mine off for routine service or repairs. When I actually went to set up an appointment they tried to give me an Enterprise rental, so I canceled the appointment. I got the same thing at Rusnak Thousand Oaks, and at Cutter Motors in Santa Barbara. So far they haven't charged me for the car, but driving an Oldsmoblie was tough to take.

At Hoehn Porsche, the give their customers honda accords. How can u give a customer spending $100,000 + on a car a F***ing $12,000 car. It doesn't make sense.

Just was at the car wash and saw a brand new paper plated X3 Savage BMW loaner vehicle.

My g/f at least gets a civic to drive when her civic is worked on, I get a fricken Geo, Cavalier, Kia, Daewoo, or a newer Jetta(by mistake) that the enterprise guy was just smoking out in, really nice thanks, now I reek like a VW drivin pothead.

I don't think I vented all my frustration just yet.

So there's no Audi dealerships that know how to take care of their customers?
