There is an F1 Motorsports in the LA area. They do a lot of rims and have quite a number of show cars that I have seen at the LA Auto Show in years past.

I was over there b/c my buddy with an rs6 met there with the DPE wheel guys. From what I saw of the shop it is a very nice and organized operation. From what I've heard they do good work and good pricing. While I was over there they installed c/o's and exhaust on a 20th gti, customer loved it from what I saw. If shop appearence and upkeep reflects on their work they do great work, or atleast can back themselves up if a problem occurs. Sorry no first hand experience though.

sounds good. yea their website was pretty nice as well. i dont think i'll have any problems. i talked to the owner and he seemed pretty chill. its about a half hour drive for me, but its worth it for the price and quality of work.

yup if the price is fair then I'd hit them up. Besides there's usually some sweet ass bimmers parked outside to stare at while your getting your work done.

yea, they charge 240 for suspension installs, and you get an alignment with that. so its pretty good considering most places charge around that and dont include alignment. like i heard hartmann actually charges like 300 and thats without alignment.

Hartmann is a rip off period. Yeah 240 with a full 4 wheel alignment is good. Especially since you have a place to go to if problem arise.

ya, definately.. i was going to install them myself and pay for alignment, but alignment was going to end up being 160 bucks at a decent place, i might as well pay a little more to have it all done for me.

yea, definately. brakes i think i can handle, but suspension is a lot of install work, it would probably take me the better part of the day on my first install, although my friends and i are pretty good with tools, ive installed everything else on my car with the exception of my exhaust and bodykit.

Well the suspension install isnt that bad either, but I dont know what coilover set up you went with, but if its dampening and hieght adjustible its better to just give someone your wanted specs and have them do it. Otherwise you will spend more time tuning it then installing it. I did my coilover install my self 3 times so far, since I have to pull out the whole shock to get to the top of it to adjust dampening. its a pain in the ass.

that includes an all wheel drive alignment as well though.

How much would they cahnge just for the alignment?
Are you getting it the same day? I was told that you should let the suspension settle for 300 miles before you do an alignment. I'm at 350 since my suspension install so I was going to go to West End Alignemnt. They charge $80.

I got my suspension installed from EF1 as well, it was also somwhere around 160-200 for me (its beena while)....and you do go back in 2-3 weeks to get alignment done.
If you are just doing alignment, I believe it was $40 for FWD and $65 for Quattro. They use the hunter system too.
Good stuff.
