haha is it worth to dyno a car with only exhaust for engine mod?

although $40 bucks is pretty cheap, just dont want to embarrass myself

It's good to have a baseline so that when you add mods you can tell how it affects your car. Thing is, no dyno is the same, so you can't compare one dyno result on say a MAHA dyno to another one on a Mustang dyno. You'll need to use the same one over and over and over again.

Seems a little shady until I know more info.

Hmm, kind of odd. I called the # and a guy answered, didn't identify a shop or anything. I asked about the dyno day and he did say they were having one, but on July 17 & 18, not the other weekend mentioned. He said they were doing it from 10-6 on both days, name of the shop is extreme imports, located on 1786 Angela St., which is near Dynospot racing. $40 per pull. He said if you wanted 3 pulls it would be something like $100, so not really a discount from what ATP charges for a standard dyno run. I don't think I can get away for that weekend, otherwise I might check it out. I've dyno'd my car on dynojet and dynodynamics without getting a good run in, so I'd be interested to see if a Mustang would be any different.

Oh duh, I just read it properly... $40 PER pull?? Not worth the gas for me than just going over to ATP 20 mins away from me. Plus, last time I was there on a group dyno it was only $50 for 3 pulls.

Yeah, we need a group dyno day. I need a baseline.

I am gonna be taking our TT to ATP dyno sometime next weekend or week after. It will be myself, a friend with an AMG and maybe another person.

I haven't scheduled with ATP yet but I'll do it after I get back from the holidays. Basically, I'm working on the exhaust so I'll put it back to stock and measure differences. Then off I go gutting sections of my new exhaust and eliminating the twin cats for a better one.

Maybe we can have a group event then [:)]
