Car: 2006 Audi A4 2.0TQ (Non-SLine)

Ok I thought I'd post an easier way to install new sidemarkers/reflectors on your car. I've read the other post on the forum and felt it didn't provide enough information to do the installation. Because of this I ended up with a banged up hand and was motivated to submit a post. Photos are with my cell phone so quality is not perfect. And I took them half way through the install so you'll see shots from both sides of the car (hopefully won't be confusing). Anyway I hope this will save some of you time and injury on your install and truly make it a 15 minute easy mod.

Step 1: Turn your wheel to the right to allow easy access to left front wheel well (do opposite for the other side). Remove two screws shown below (Torx #25).

Step 2: Pull out wheel well liner and locate two screws beneath. Remove them as well.

Step 3: Pull wheel well and bumper pieces apart. Should look like below.

Step 4: Here's the step missed in the post before. Wiggle your bumper pulling down with medium pressure. It should snap apart. Don't worry you won't break anything (shouldn't break anything).

Step 5: Use a flat screwdriver to push the white tabs/clips inward. You could use your fingers but the screwdriver is much easier. Once you push the two rear tabs inward force them through the openings. Next use your index finger to release the front tab/clip. With some wiggling the reflector should come out.

Step 6: Get your new sidemarkers. I chose the smoked version from ECS Tuning. A little pricey at $55/set but they do look nice.

Step 7: Once the new ones are snapped in start putting it back together. Push the bumper back in (above reflector). Reinstall the inner screws making sure all components are put back together properly (see photo). Finally install the outer screws.

Step 8: Admire your work.

Using flash you can see the reflector in action...
